Role of Teacher in LAC

     The role of teacher in Language across the curriculum should be as below-

1. The teacher should be aware and accept the importance of LAC himself first.
2. He should try to create interest among the students to learn language in different linguistic and non-linguistic subjects.
3. 

   The co-operation between teachers are very important. The non-linguistic teachers should co-operate with linguistic teachers to teach language across the curriculum.
4. The teacher should invest time in planning and thinking, how LAC can be incorporated in his subject of expertise.
5. The teacher should organise some activities like debate, discussion etc. and encourage the student to participate. This will help in development of language skills.
   
6. The teacher should encourage the students to read books of different languages.
7. The teacher should take part in LAC training programmes to improve his skills in incorporating LAC.
8. The teacher should not have negative attitude  towards language education in his/her subject.
